David Franck CSP Collection For Sale

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

I just recieved word that David Franck’s Council Shoulder Patch (CSP) collection was being split up and sold by his relatives. Franck passed away in 2002 and was a long time editor for “An Aid To Collecting Selected Council Shoulder Insignia with Valuation Guide”.

According to the email, they are not interested in trading, but are attempting to sell the entire collection. They have posted the list of CSPs online and will be updating it after a decent amount of the patches have been sold. Requests for scans can be facilitated. There are about 3,600 unique CSPs with many duplicate issues.

You can see the entire list, and the email address to arrange purchases or scans at http://www.the-cables.net/csp.html

OAImages.com Technical Issues

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

John over at http://www.oaimages.com is having some technical issues with his server that has taken his site, The Internet Guide to Order of the Arrow Insignia, off line for the time being.

There is a status page available at http://www.oaimages.com for those who wish to stay up to date on the progress of the site. The last update was posted on 2/19/2008 at 7pm: “File uploads are in progress. This will continue well into tomorrow, or longer. Right now there’s not much to see, but you can track my progress at http://12.47.45.91.”

When we heard of John’s difficulties on Patch-L, we offered him use of some server space to host his update page, but he was able to place it on his home server. We wish him the best of luck, as technical issues are never fun.

UPDATE:  The OAImages Blog is back up and John is uploading all the site files.  The normal domain is now featuring a status page.
